2016 Toyota Sienna Redesign?

When it comes to minivans, car producers usually make longer lasting generations, and that’s the case with 2016 Toyota Sienna too. Upcoming model will not be redesigned, as some might expected it, but rather slightly enhanced. Its changes will mainly be related to some equipment updating and some designing details which will make a difference, and slightly upgrade and modernize its appearance. Since 2015 Sienna already gained refreshed grill and taillights, there will hardly be any work done on those areas.

2016 Toyota Sienna exterior and interior

Sienna is already known as one of the best minivans on the market. It earned its title with several great segments it offers. Its exterior is modern and attractive with greatly mixed curves and sharp lines. Changes which will influence the appearance of the 2016 Toyota Sienna will probably include few more exterior colors and some new accents. Overall body shape and styling will remain unchanged.

Interior of the popular model is firstly functional with broad options for both seating arrangements and huge cargo space. Its equipment is on a high levels, and, unlike most of its rivals, it comes divided into five trim levels. 2016 Toyota Sienna trims include L, LE, SE, XLE and Limited. Japanese manufacturer offers numerous features for Sienna’s buyers, from windshield wiper de-icer and 3-zone automatic A/C up to Entune audio system which is controlled via 6.1-in. touch-screen display.

Perhaps the most important thing for minivan’s buyers is the space, and this model offers plenty of it. With capacity to accommodate up to eight passengers, Sienna can also offer 150 cubic feet of cargo room with second and third row seats folded down. Behind the last row, this minivan provides 39.1 cubic feet of luggage space.

2016 Toyota Sienna engine and fuel economy

Just like its primary rivals Honda Odyssey and Dodge Grand Caravan, 2016 Sienna comes with only one engine packed under its hood. It is a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces up to 266 horsepower and 245 lb-ft of torque. The power of the engine is transferred to wheels via 6-speed automatic transmission, which is only option. Drivetrain choices are either front- or all-wheels drive, which depend on trim and personal choice.

Fuel economy for 2016 Toyota Sienna is EPA-rated at 18 mpg city/25 mpg highway and 21 mpg combined, when paired with front-wheel-drive. The numbers are slightly lower (2 miles to be precise), if you opt for all-wheel drive so with that configuration you can expect fuel consumption to be 16 mpg city/23 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined.
