2016 Toyota RAV4 changes, review

The mid-cycle period isn’t generally the time for large changes in Toyota Company, so the newest, 2016 Toyota RAV4 isn’t getting too much remodeling. Most likely we shall experience smaller updates and occasional tucks, but the one big thing that may happen is the hybrid version. Although many hope for pure electric version, the fact that it uses combination of fuel and electric is placing him among other hybrid vehicles. New Toyota RAV4 shouldn’t change its lineup so there will still be LE, XLE and Limited trim levels.

The 2016 Toyota RAV4 engine

Not stepping too much from previous model on this department, the newest 2016 Toyota RAV4 is going to keep the well behaved turbocharged 2.5 liter having 4 sets of cylinders engine. Packed up with the strength of 176 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque, this type of engine remains the only option for North American customers. Powertrain remains also 6-speed automatic with standard front wheel drive. Since he last model had results of 22/29/25 mpg in the city/highway/combined, this refreshed version is bound to have was same at least, if not better.  They left the option to choose with all-wheel drive. It’s not like everything is absolutely the same-the towing capacity increase helped reduce fuel consumption and thus save money.  With a lot of rumors about the hybrid version, we can only speculate and expect possible combo of the current model and V6 engine.

The 2016 Toyota RAV4 exterior and interior

Since it is in its mid phase, not that much changes are planned. Small face-lifting in the front department is reserved for front light aligned with the new remodeled grille. The lights are doing the shifting in the back too, so the taillights are being reshaped for the exterior styling. 2016 RAV4 got some more choice in color, so combined with this light changes it might do the trick.

There is bit more inside to notice. With enough space to stretch around the comfortable leather seats (with heating for the front seats), you are half way on the road of pleasant driving. And they can be folded so again more space! Ad some fine audio system and quality infotainment system and it’s a joy to be inside. They took care for the safety too so there are inevitable air bags, emergency brake assist and brake force electronic distribution and there is more. There is traction and stability control, tilt telescoping steering wheel, lane departure warning, rear view camera and blind spot monitoring so the 2016 Toyota RAV4 can never be accused of not knowing to be safe.

Fighting the tough market with serious Honda CR-V, the archenemy, 2016 Toyota RAV4 has more competitors to deal with. This time there are also Mazda CX-5, Ford Escape and Nissan Rogue and it seems it’s going to be tough. The plan is to present this vehicle in the January of 2016 on the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and start this battle for profit and name.
