2016 Lexus RC 350 and RC 350 F Sport

2016 model year will not bring exciting news when it comes to RC 350 Coupe. The luxury brand, Lexus, started the production of the RC model last year, when they launched 2015 RC and RC F Sport for the first time. The model is based on there IS sedan model, and has shorter body and wheelbase than the IS model. However, 2016 Lexus RC 350 will be mostly the same as its predecessor, and the only novelty it will bring is the Convertible version.  Let’s review some basic spec of this upcoming model:

The grill and overall front end of the 2016 RC 350 features recognizable design of latest generation vehicles from Lexus’s line-up. Its body is perfectly sculpted in order to provide great aerodynamics and stunning visual effect. Triangular shape of the headlights gives the new RC aggressive and modern appearance. Currently available in 6 shades, new 2016 RC could receive some other paint choices throughout the line-up. The idea about the RC 350 Convertible came from IS C convertible which could be replaced with the new RC.

Interior is luxurious and sporty. It includes four different color schemes for either leatherette  or leather upholstery. Beside that all variants have wood details which contribute to luxurious feel inside the cabin. Features are numerous and greatly combined, with both old-fashioned details (such as analog clock) and latest modern touches (such as 7-inch color display). The standard equipment on the base RC includes 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, heated mirrors, keyless start and entry, automatic two-zone A/C, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror, a backup camera, Bluetooth connectivity (phone and audio), Lexus Enform Remote and audio system with 10 speakers, satellite radio, HD radio, an AUX jack and iPod/USB interface.

 2016 Lexus RC 350 will have the same engine choice as its predecessor. This includes one V6 power unit combined with either rear or all-wheel drive. The power comes from a 3.5-liter V6 that delivers 306 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Depending on drivetrain, it comes paired with either 8-speed automatic (RWD) or 6-speed automatic transmission (AWD).

The performance of the 2016 Lexus RC 350 is additionally enhanced with latest tech systems – from suspension to brakes and drive modes.

Fuel economy is EPA-estimated at 19/28/22 mpg city/highway/combined with rear-wheel drive and 19/26/21 mpg with all-wheel drive.

2016 Lexus RC 350 price and release

Lexus released its 2015 model during the first half of previous, 2014 year, while the new 2016 Lexus RC 350 is expected to appear on the market during this summer. The Convertible version, if the rumors are true, will not be released at the same time, but will have its debut later on. The price will not be much different than the current one, so expect the base model to cost slightly under $44,000 and the F Sport slightly under $49,000.
